Drove 2 hours to dealership. We bought at Bath, NY, what we thought would be our next truck to last us a good many years and miles, a one year old low mileage preowned 2016 Ford F-150, 11,000 miles, 222.
More years of warranty remaining and drove nicely. Outwardly, looked great, engine compartment clean. Only thing it didn't have that we wanted was a hitch and trailer brakes. We Took it home to PA, purchased genuine Ford hitch and trailer brake switch for over $200.00, and installed them.
We now had the truck for 3 weeks and needed to then transfer NY inspection with PA inspection. Took it to PA Ford dealership...FAILED inspection! Totally corroded underneath body and frame! Called Bath to complain...Lemon Law.
What would they do? Drove back, their mechanic agreed...they offered to take back truck if we buy a 2017. OK but they WOULD NOT budge n any compensation for new hitch, trailer brakes or installation. So they made out like bandits...they get their truck back which by law they had to, but with over $300.00 of upgrades!!
We get a bigger monthly bill. They would not budge..Didn't even offer comparable deal, like a trade value discount, or a bed liner.
